Medical
expenses.

Evidence
offered
to
prove
past
medical
expenses
shall
be

limited
to
evidence
of
the
amounts
actually
paid
to
satisfy

the
bills
that
have
been
satisfied,
regardless
of
the
source
4
of
payment,
and
evidence
of
the
amounts
actually
necessary
5
to
satisfy
the
bills
that
have
been
incurred
but
not
yet
6
satisfied.
This
section
does
not
impose
upon
any
party
an
7
affirmative
duty
to
seek
a
reduction
in
billed
charges
to
which
8
the
party
is
not
contractually
entitled.

EXPLANATION

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
relates
to
evidence
offered
to
prove
past
medical

expenses.
The
bill
provides
that
evidence
offered
to
prove
14
such
expenses
shall
be
limited
to
evidence
of
the
amounts
that
15
were
actually
paid
to
satisfy
bills
that
have
been
satisfied
16
and
evidence
of
the
amounts
necessary
to
satisfy
the
bills
17
that
have
not
yet
been
satisfied.
The
bill
does
not
impose
an
18
affirmative
duty
to
seek
a

in
billed
charges
to
which

the
party
is
not
contractually
entitled.
