fiscal
year
commencing
July

reimbursements

fiscal

The
department
of
justice
shall
include
the
report

required

paragraph

as
well
as
information
regarding

revisions
occurring

result

reimbursements
actually

ranking

justice

academy

employ

providing
private

employment

inmates
in
a
correctional
institution

prohibit
the
private
corporation
from
utilizing
inmate

labor
for
partisan
political
purposes
for
any
person
seeking
10
election
to
public
office
in
this
state
and
that
a
violation

of
this
requirement
shall
result
in
a
termination
of
the
lease

agreement.

b.
It
is
the
intent
of
the
general
assembly
that
as
a

condition
of
receiving
the
appropriation
provided
in
this

subsection

department
of
corrections
shall

lease

contractual
agreement

corporation

least
restrictive
sanction
available,

job
development,
and
expanded
use
of
intermediate
criminal

sanctions.

Each
judicial
district
department
of
correctional

services
shall
provide
alternatives
to
prison
consistent
with

chapter
901B.
The
alternatives
to
prison
shall
ensure
public

safety
while
providing
maximum
rehabilitation
to
the
offender.

The
governor’s
office
of
drug
control
policy
shall

the

corrections

judicial
district

departments
of
correctional
services
as
local
government

grants,
as
defined
pursuant
to
federal
regulations.

5.
The
department
of
corrections
shall
continue
to
contract

with
a
judicial
district
department
of
correctional
services
to

provide
for
the
rental
of
electronic
monitoring
equipment
which
10
shall
be
available
statewide.

department

number
of
hours
worked
by
the

offenders,

of

ELECTRONIC
MONITORING
REPORT.
The
department
of

corrections
shall

the
justice

system,
and
to
the
legislative
services
agency

shall

include
a
comparison
of
