1.
Section
483A.24,
subsection
2,
paragraphs
b
and
1
c,
Code
2019,
are
amended
to
read
as
follows:

b.
Upon
written
application
on
forms
furnished
by
the
3
department,
the
department
shall
issue
annually
without
fee
one
4
wild
turkey
license
to
the
owner
of
a
farm
unit
or
to
a
member
5
of
the
owner’s
family,
but
not
to
both,
and
to
the
tenant
or
6
to
a
member
of
the
tenant’s
family,
but
not
to
both.
The
wild
7
turkey
hunting
licenses
issued
shall
be
valid
only
on
the
8
farm
unit
for
which
an
applicant
qualifies
pursuant
to
this
9
subsection
and
shall
be
equivalent
to
the
least
restrictive
10
license
issued
under
section
481A.38
.
The
owner
or
the
tenant
11
need
not
reside
on
the
farm
unit
to
qualify
for
a
free
license
12
to
hunt
on
that
farm
unit.
The
free
turkey
hunting
licenses
13
issued
pursuant
to
this
paragraph
shall
be
valid
and
may
be
14
used
during
any
bow
or
firearm
established
turkey
hunting
15
season
using
the
method
of
take
authorized
by
rule
for
each
16
season
being
hunted.
If
a
tag
is
filled
during
one
of
the
17
seasons,
the
license
will
not
be
valid
in
subsequent
seasons
.

c.
Upon

one
antlered
or
any
sex
deer
hunting

license
and
one
antlerless
deer
only
deer
hunting
license,
to

the
owner’s
family,

but
only
a
total
of
two
licenses
for
both,
and
to
the
tenant
24
of
a
farm
unit
or
a
member
of
the
tenant’s
family,
but
only
25
a
total
of
two
licenses
for
both.
The
deer
hunting
licenses
26
issued
shall
be
valid
only
for
use
on
the
farm
unit
for
which
27
the
applicant
applies
pursuant
to
this
paragraph.
The
owner
28
or
the
tenant
need
not
reside
on
the
farm
unit
to
qualify
for
29
the
free
deer
hunting
licenses
to
hunt
on
that
farm
unit.
The
30
free
deer
hunting
licenses
issued
pursuant
to
this
paragraph
31
shall
be
valid
and
may
be
used
during
any
bow
or
firearm
32
established
deer
hunting
season
using
the
method
of
take
33
authorized
by
rule
for
each
season
being
hunted.
If
a
tag
is
34
filled
during
one
of
the
seasons,
the
license
will
not
be
valid

seasons

The
licenses
may
be
used
to
harvest
1
deer
in
two
different
seasons.
In
addition,
a
person
who
2
receives
a
free
deer
hunting
license
pursuant
to
this
paragraph
3
shall
pay
a
one
dollar
fee
for
each
license
that
shall
be
used
4
and
is
appropriated
for
the
purpose
of
deer
herd
population
5
management,
including
assisting
with
the
cost
of
processing
6
deer
donated
to
the
help
us
stop
hunger
program
administered
7
by
the
commission.

The

this

Current
law
allows
an
owner
or
tenant
of
a
farm
unit
or
12
a
member
of
that
person’s
family
who
receives
a
wild
turkey
13
license
for
use
on
that
person’s
farm
unit
to
use
the
license
14
during
any
bow
or
firearm
turkey
hunting
season.
An
owner
or
15
tenant
of
a
farm
unit
or
a
member
of
that
person’s
family
who
16
receives
a
deer
hunting
license
for
use
on
that
person’s
farm
17
unit
may
use
the
license
during
any
bow
or
firearm
deer
hunting
18
season.
19
This
bill
allows
an
owner
or
tenant
of
a
farm
unit
or
a
20
member
of
that
person’s
family
to
use
on
the
farm
unit
a
wild
21
turkey
hunting
license
during
any
established
turkey
hunting
22
season
and
a
deer
hunting
license
during
any
established
deer
23
hunting
season
using
the
method
of
take
authorized
by
rule
for
24
the
respective
season
being
hunted.
A
tag
filled
during
one
of
25
the
seasons
will
not
be
valid
in
subsequent
seasons.
