school,

care
home,
or
services
at
a

detention
home
,
or
court-ordered
care
by
a
relative
or

another
person
with
a
significant
relationship
with
the
person,

and
the
person
is
no
longer
receiving
such
services
or
care
.

this

This
bill
relates
to
the
definition
of
“young
adult”
for

purposes
of
participation
in
the
preparation
for
adult
living

program
(program).

The
purpose
of
the
program
is
to
assist
young
adult
persons
16
who
are
leaving
foster
care
and
other
court-ordered
services
at
17
age
18
or
older
in
making
the
transition
to
self-sufficiency.

The
bill
includes
a
person
who,
at
the
time
the
person
turned
19
18
years
of
age,
received
court-ordered
care
with
a
relative
or
20
another
person
with
a
significant
relationship
with
the
person,
21
in
the
eligibility
criteria
for
young
adult
participation
in
22
the
program.
