S.F. 2066 Section 1. Section 280.13C, subsection 2, paragraph e, Code 1 2020, is amended to read as follows: 2 e. “Licensed health care provider” means a physician, 3 physician assistant, chiropractor, advanced registered 4 nurse practitioner, nurse, physical therapist, occupational 5 therapist, or athletic trainer licensed by a board designated 6 under section 147.13 . 7 EXPLANATION 8 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 9 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 10 This bill adds occupational therapists to the definition 11 of “licensed health care provider” for purposes of state 12 law regarding concussion and brain injury policies for 13 extracurricular interscholastic activities.
