is

amended
to
read
as
follows:

weight,
color
of
hair,

race,
sex,
and
date
and
place
of
birth.

EXPLANATION

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

Current
law
allows
a
person
who
has
attained
the
age
of

majority
and
who
does
not
have
any
civil
disabilities
to
apply
9
to
the
court
to
change
the
person’s
name
by
filing
a
verified
10
petition
and
specifies
the
information
that
must
be
included
in
11
the
verified
petition.
This
bill
removes
the
requirement
that
12
the
petition
includes
the
person’s
height,
weight,
and
color
13
of
hair
and
eyes.
