H.F. _____ Section 1. Section 331.606B, subsection 5, paragraph i, 1 Code 2019, is amended by striking the paragraph. 2 Sec. 2. Section 543B.3, subsection 9, Code 2019, is amended 3 to read as follows: 4 9. Prepares offers to purchase or purchase agreements, 5 listing contracts, agency disclosures, real property 6 residential and agricultural rental agreements, and real 7 property commercial rental agreements of one year or less, and 8 groundwater hazard statements, including any modifications, 9 amendments, or addendums to these specific documents. 10 Sec. 3. REPEAL. Section 558.69, Code 2019, is repealed. 11 EXPLANATION 12 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 13 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 14 This bill repeals the requirement that a groundwater hazard 15 statement must be submitted with each declaration of value that 16 is submitted to a county recorder in order to grant, assign, 17 transfer, or convey real property. 18 The bill makes conforming changes. 19 -1- LSB 2240YC (1) 88 ko/jh 1/ 1
