H.R. 102 WHEREAS, Representative Landon worked diligently for 1 nearly 40 years in agricultural real estate and farm 2 management before running for state office; and 3 WHEREAS, Representative Landon faithfully served the 4 people of Iowa as a state representative for over eight 5 years; and 6 WHEREAS, Representative Landon was a central part 7 of his community as a cub scout leader, a boy scout 8 leader, and a deacon and a stewardship committee leader 9 for his church; NOW THEREFORE, 10 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, That 11 the Iowa House of Representatives honors the life and 12 service of Representative John Landon and recognizes 13 Representative Landon’s spirit, integrity, and work 14 ethic as emblematic of the values of this state; and 15 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of this 16 Resolution be distributed to Representative Landon’s 17 wife, Marvis Landon. 18 -2- LSB 5598YH (4) 89 dg/rn 2/ 2
