subsection

Code
2021,
is

amended
by
adding
the
following
new
paragraph:

convicted

held
in

a
violation
of
a
no-contract
order
or
of
a
civil

protective
order
as
provided
in
section
664A.7.

EXPLANATION

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
provides
that
in
determining
whether
a
substantial
9
change
in
circumstances
exists
as
a
basis
for
modification
of
10
a
child,
spousal,
or
medical
support
order,
the
court
shall
11
consider
a
party
being
convicted
or
held
in
contempt
for
a
12
violation
of
a
no-contact
order
or
of
a
civil
protective
order.
