MEDICAID
MANAGED
CARE

PARTICIPATING

PHARMACIES
AND
PHARMACISTS.
A
Medicaid
managed
care
2
organization
shall
contract
with
any
licensed
pharmacy
or
3
pharmacist
located
within
the
geographic
service
area
of
the
4
managed
care
organization
as
a
participating
network
provider
5
if
the
licensed
pharmacy
or
pharmacist
agrees
to
comply
with
6
the
terms
and
conditions
for
participation
in
the
managed
care
7
organization’s
network,
meets
and
agrees
to
the
conditions
8
for
participation
in
the
Medicaid
program
established
by
the
9
department
of
human
services,
accepts
the
prevailing
Medicaid
10
reimbursement,
and
is
subject
to
license
discipline
pursuant
to
11
section
155A.12
or
155A.15,
as
applicable.

This
bill
requires
a
Medicaid
managed
care
organization

to
contract
with
any
licensed
pharmacy
or
pharmacist

the

service
area

the

care

participating
network
provider
if
the

licensed
pharmacy
or
pharmacist
agrees
to
comply
with
the
20
terms
and
conditions
for
participation
in
the
managed
care

organization’s
network,
meets
and
agrees
to
the
conditions

for
participation
in
the
Medicaid
program
established
by
the
23
department
of
human
services,
accepts
the
prevailing
Medicaid
