Section
483A.8C,
subsection
1,
Code
2021,
is

amended
to
read
as
follows:

1.
A
nonambulatory
person
who
is
a
resident
may
be
issued
3
one
any
sex
deer
hunting
license
to
hunt
deer
with
a
shotgun,
4
muzzleloading
rifle,
or
straight
wall
cartridge
rifle
during
5
any
established
deer
hunting
season
using
the
method
of
take
6
authorized
by
rule
for
each
season
being
hunted
except
during
a
7
bow-only
season
as
established
by
rule
by
the
commission
.
If
8
the
tag
is
filled
during
one
of
the
seasons,
the
license
will
9
not
be
valid
in
subsequent
seasons.
A
person
who
applies
for
10
a
license
pursuant
to
this
section
shall
complete
a
form,
as
11
required
by
rule,
that
is
signed
by
a
physician
who
verifies
12
that
the
person
is
nonambulatory.

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
relates
to
the
methods
of
take
authorized
for
17
use
by
a
resident
hunting
deer
using
a
license
issued
to
a
18
nonambulatory
person.
Current
law
allows
a
nonambulatory
19
resident
to
receive
one
any
sex
deer
hunting
license
to
20
hunt
deer
during
any
established
deer
hunting
season
using
21
the
method
of
take
authorized
by
rule
for
the
season
being
22
hunted.
Under
the
bill,
a
nonambulatory
resident
receiving
an
23
any
sex
deer
hunting
license
under
this
provision
may
use
a
24
shotgun,
muzzleloading
rifle,
or
straight
wall
cartridge
rifle
25
during
any
established
deer
hunting
season
except
during
a
26
bow-only
season
as
established
by
rule
by
the
natural
resource
27
commission.
