Section
476.6,
subsection
15,
paragraph
e,
Code

2021,
is
amended
by
adding
the
following
new
subparagraph:

NEW
SUBPARAGRAPH
.
(3)
A
gas
or
electric
utility
required
to

submit
an
energy
efficiency
plan
under
this
subsection
shall
4
carry
over
the
moneys
budgeted
in
an
energy
efficiency
plan
but
5
not
expended
in
a
given
year
during
the
term
of
the
plan
to
the
6
succeeding
year
of
the
plan
if
the
surplus
occurred
prior
to
7
the
final
year
of
the
plan.
A
surplus
of
moneys
budgeted
in
an
8
energy
efficiency
plan
during
the
final
year
of
a
plan
but
not
9
expended
during
the
final
year
of
a
plan
shall
carry
over
to
10
the
first
year
of
a
succeeding
plan.

bill
relates
to
energy
efficiency
plans
adopted
by
gas

electric
utilities.
The
bill
requires
a
gas
or
electric

utility
that
is
required
to
submit
an
energy
efficiency
plan

to
carry
over
the
moneys
budgeted
in
a
plan
but
not
expended
18
in
a
given
year
during
the
term
of
the
plan
to
the
succeeding
19
year
of
the
plan
or
the
first
year
of
a
succeeding
plan,
as
20
applicable.
