NEW SECTION. 147.77 Waivers and variances == 1 2 report == posting online. 1 3 The board for each of the professions designated in 1 4 section 147.13 shall post a report on the board's internet 1 5 site regarding waivers and variances granted by the board as 1 6 provided in section 17A.9A. The report shall include for each 1 7 waiver or variance the date the waiver or variance was granted, 1 8 a citation of the rule or rules containing the requirements 1 9 being waived or varied, a description of the subject matter 1 10 of the rules, the duration of the waiver or variance, and 1 11 a description of the rationale for granting the waiver or 1 12 variance. The report shall be continually updated when a 1 13 waiver or variance is granted by the board. Each board shall 1 14 adopt rules pursuant to chapter 17A to administer this section. 1 15 Sec. 2. DIRECTIVE TO BOARDS == RULEMAKING. The board for 1 16 each of the professions designated in section 147.13 shall 1 17 submit a notice of intended action for the adoption of rules 1 18 to implement section 147.77, as enacted in this Act, to the 1 19 administrative rules coordinator and the administrative code 1 20 editor pursuant to section 17A.4, subsection 1, paragraph "a", 1 21 not later than three business days after the first meeting of 1 22 the board held at least three business days after the effective 1 23 date of this Act. 1 24 Sec. 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Act, being deemed of immediate 1 25 importance, takes effect upon enactment. 1 26 EXPLANATION 1 27 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 1 28 the explanation's substance by the members of the general assembly. 1 29 This bill requires the board for each of the medical 1 30 professions designated in Code section 147.13 to post a report 1 31 on the board's internet site regarding waivers and variances 1 32 granted by the board as provided in Code section 17A.9A. The 1 33 bill specifies the content of the report and requires that the 1 34 report be continually updated. 1 35 The bill requires each board to submit a notice of intended 2 1 action for the adoption of rules to implement the bill to the 2 2 administrative rules coordinator and the administrative code 2 3 editor not later than three business days after the first 2 4 meeting of the board held at least three business days after 2 5 the effective date of the bill. 2 6 The bill takes effect upon enactment.
