Act
applies

to
January

2008.

EXPLANATION

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
exempts
from
the
sales
and
use
tax
the
services

provided
by
parking
facilities
if
the
parking
facility
is
not
a
10
privately
owned,
for-profit
facility.
Currently,
the
services
11
provided
by
any
parking
facility
are
subject
to
the
sales
and
12
use
tax.
13
The
bill
applies
retroactively
to
January
1,
2008.
