felony

the

to

anyone,
the
person
utters
movie
prop
money

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

general

This
bill
relates
to
forgery
involving
movie
prop
money,
and

provides
penalties.

The
bill
provides
that
a
person
commits
a
class
“D”
felony
16
if,
with
the
intent
to
defraud
or
injure
anyone,
the
person
17
utters
movie
prop
money
for
the
purpose
of
obtaining
property
18
or
services.
19
The
bill
defines
“movie
prop
money”
as
a
product
produced
by
20
a
company
or
corporation
to
represent
authentic
money
for
use
21
by
filmmakers,
directors,
or
photographers
for
use
in
film
or
22
theatrical
productions
or
in
print
media.
23
A
class
“D”
felony
is
punishable
by
confinement
for
no
more
24
than
five
years
and
a
fine
of
at
least
$1,025
but
not
more
than
25
$10,245.
