SENATE CONCURRENT

RESOLUTION

 

 

urging the department of business, economic development, and tourism to explore the retention of a new program manager for its EB-5 immigrant investor license or sell or transfer its eb-5 immigrant investor license.

 

 


     WHEREAS, the Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism presently holds a license from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services to operate as a EB-5 Immigrant Investor Regional Center; and

 

     WHEREAS, the Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism presently retains a program manager to run the Hawaii EB-5 Immigrant Investor Regional Center; now, therefore,

 

     BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the Twenty-seventh Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Regular Session of 2013, the House of Representatives concurring, that this body urges the Director of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism to explore the possibility of retaining a new program manager to run the Hawaii EB-5 Immigrant Investor Regional Center or, in the alternative, to sell or transfer its EB-5 Immigrant Investor license; and

 

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this Concurrent Resolution be transmitted to the Director of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism.
