A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO judicial FINANCIAL DISCLOSURES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 601, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:
"§601- Financial disclosures filed with commission on judicial conduct; posting on Internet. (a) The judiciary shall post on the Internet all public financial disclosures filed with the commission on judicial conduct.
(b) Prior to posting the financial disclosures on the Internet, personal information in the financial disclosures may be redacted to protect the right to privacy of filers, including social security number, birth date, residential address, and residential telephone number."
SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
