A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to traffic infractions.
BE IT
ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 291C, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to part XI, to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:
"§291C- Parking in front of mailboxes. In any county with a population of 500,000 or more, the stopping, standing, or parking of vehicles in front of a mailbox that faces a roadway and to which the United States Postal Service delivers mail is prohibited from Monday through Saturday between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.; provided that this section shall not apply to postal delivery vehicles."
SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
