A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to transportation.
BE IT
ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 501, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to part I to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:
"§501- The land court shall prioritize and expedite the scheduling of hearings or other dispositions for petitions or related filings or proceedings before it through which the department of transportation will acquire, subdivide, consolidate, construct, maintain, or administer land through conveyance or eminent domain to effectuate section 264-43."
SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
