A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO STATE FUNDS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION
1. Chapter 36, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new
section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:
"§36-
Special fund revenues;
hiring; employees' retirement system; contributions. Notwithstanding any law to the contrary,
for a civil service or exempt status employee funded under special fund
revenues and whose contributions are paid to the employees' retirement system
of the State, any employer contributions paid into the employees' retirement
system on behalf of the employee shall be paid from the respective special fund
rather than paid from the general fund."

2. New statutory material is
underscored.

3. This Act shall take effect upon its
approval.
