A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO TRAFFIC.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  Chapter 291C, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to part XII to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:

     "§291C-    Bicycle and motor scooter traffic prohibited; state capitol area.  No person shall operate a bicycle or motor scooter within the state capitol area, specifically the pedestrian mall running East-West between Richards Street and Punchbowl Street that abuts the Hawaii state capitol building, Iolani Palace, and the main branch of the Hawaii state library, and upon which there has been erected a statute to honor Queen Liliuokalani."

     SECTION 2.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2050.

Description:
