A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to the office of hawaiian affairs.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  Section 10-42, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by amending subsection (d) to read as follows:

     "(d)  The office of Hawaiian affairs shall offer the training course at least [twice] once per [year.] quarter."

     SECTION 2.  Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken.  New statutory material is  underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

Description:

Changes the minimum frequency with which the office of Hawaiian affairs is required to offer training relating to native Hawaiian and Hawaiian traditional and customary rights, natural resources and access rights, and the public trust from twice per year to once per quarter.
