A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO FEMININE HYGIENE PRODUCTS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 302A, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to subpart A of part I to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:
"§302A- Feminine
hygiene products; availability. The
department shall provide feminine hygiene products to students for free on all
public secondary school campuses.
For the purposes of this section, "feminine hygiene products" includes sanitary napkins; tampons; panty liners; douches; feminine hygiene syringes; and creams, foams ointments, jellies, powders, and sprays used for vaginal hygiene purposes."
SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2050.
