A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO EARLY EDUCATION.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  The purpose of this Act is to support the responsibilities of the executive office on early learning and early learning board by appropriating funds to the executive office on early learning for additional operational costs, including equipment, supplies, and personnel costs incurred as a result of Act 202, Session Laws of Hawaii 2017.

SECTION 2.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $         or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2018-2019 to the executive office on early learning for additional operational costs, including equipment, supplies, and personnel costs, that shall be allocated as follows:

     (1)  $         for one full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) office assistant IV position;

     (2)  $         for one full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) data processing user support technician II position;

     (3)  $         for travel for early learning board members;

     (4)  $         for phone lines;

     (5)  $         for computer equipment; and

     (6)  $         for supplies and printing costs.

     The sum appropriated shall be expended by the executive office on early learning for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2050.
