A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO FIRE SPRINKLERS.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 

     SECTION 1.  Act 83, Session Laws of Hawaii 2012, is amended by amending section 3 to read as follows:

     "SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2012; provided that on June 30,[ 2017,] 2027, this Act shall be repealed."

     SECTION 2.  Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2112.

Fire Sprinklers; Residences; Agricultural and Aquacultural Structures

 

Description:

Extends the prohibition that prevents the counties from requiring fire sprinklers in specific family dwelling units and agricultural and aquacultural buildings.  Effective July 1, 2112.  (HB1384 HD1)
