A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

making an appropriation for a state qualifying shooting range at kulani correctional facility in east hawaii on the island of hawaii.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 

     SECTION 1.  The purpose of this Act is to appropriate funds for the planning, design, and construction of a state qualifying shooting range situated at Kulani correctional facility on the island of Hawaii.

     For the purposes of this Act, "state qualifying shooting range" shall not include any commercial shooting range where recreational shooting activities or target practice is permitted.

     SECTION 2.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $           or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2009-2010 for the planning, design, and construction of a state qualifying shooting range at Kulani correctional facility in east Hawaii on the island of Hawaii.

     The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of accounting and general services for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2009.
