A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to workers' compensation.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section 386-71.6, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by amending subsection (a) to read as follows:
"(a) There is established within the
department of labor and industrial relations the workers' compensation benefits
facilitator unit. [All] Every professional and clerical [employees]
employee of the unit shall be appointed by the director and shall be
subject to chapter 76."
SECTION 2. Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
