A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO THE FIFTIETH ANNIVERSARY OF THE HAWAII STATE CAPITOL.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  The purpose of this Act is to appropriate funds to the state foundation on culture and the arts to provide support for the task force established by Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 81, Regular Session of 2016, to plan and coordinate the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the Hawaii state capitol.  The celebration shall include various program activities and events from March 15, 2018, through March 15, 2019.

     SECTION 2.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $        or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2017-2018 and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2018-2019 to plan and coordinate the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the Hawaii state capitol.

     The sums appropriated shall be expended by the state foundation on culture and the arts for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2017.
