Summary

Re-enacts the tax credit for qualified research activities for five years. Clarifies the method of calculating the tax credit. Amends the definition of "qualified high technology business". Repeals existing certification requirements and establishes new reporting requirements. Requires the department of business, economic development, and tourism to conduct studies to measure the effectiveness of the tax credit and submit reports to the legislature. Effective January 1, 2050. (SD1)
