Summary

For a period of 3 years, provides that no new vehicle needs a safety inspection until 3 years after the date the vehicle was first sold; provides that electric vehicles shall require a safety inspection every 24 months; and provides that electric vehicles participating in a road usage charge fee program shall pay a road usage charge fee based on a self-reported photo odometer reading. Effective 7/1/2050. Repeals 6/30/2026. (SD2)
