RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Pastor Kerwin B. Lee on his 25th anniversary of dedicated service
to the Lord; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Pastor Kerwin B. Lee has led an extraordinary life evolution, beginning as an
outstanding student and growing to serve as a teacher, church volunteer, youth
minister, associate minister, pastor of a traditional church, and now as the
founder and senior pastor of Berean Christian Church in Stone Mountain, Georgia;
and
WHEREAS,
in May, 2008, Pastor Kerwin B. Lee and his many friends, students, and family
members gathered to celebrate his amazing 25 years of service to the Lord
through evangelism and Christian ministry; and
WHEREAS,
this extraordinary servant of God founded Berean Christian Church in 1995 with
only 200 members, and through his hard work, dedication, and charismatic
personality, the church experienced explosive growth and now exceeds 5,000
members; and
WHEREAS,
he has served as a strong and encouraging leader to the church's congregation
through his concern for others and his motivational preaching and teaching;
and
WHEREAS,
Kerwin Lee is a devoted husband to his lovely wife, Yolanda, and a loving father
to their two sons, Kerwin and Kernard; and
WHEREAS,
Pastor Kerwin B. Lee has lived a life dedicated to others, the church, and his
community as demonstrated by his acts of compassion and generosity too numerous
to count, and it is only fitting and proper that his extraordinary Christian
leadership and service to the citizens of this state be appropriately
recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that members of this body join in
recognizing the service of this spiritual leader and commend Pastor Kerwin B.
Lee for his many achievements and contributions during the past 25
years.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Pastor Kerwin B. Lee.
