RESOLUTION
Recognizing
Muscogee County School District Spelling Bee Finalist James Bryce Jackson; and
for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
on Wednesday, February 4, 2009, James Bryce Jackson, an eighth grader at
Veterans Memorial Middle School, placed third in the highly contested Muscogee
County School District Spelling Bee; and
WHEREAS,
the Muscogee County Spelling Bee included nearly 50 students from the county's
elementary and middle schools in fourth through eighth grades; and
WHEREAS,
this achievement is the culmination of hard work and determination on the part
of this outstanding student, who deserves much credit for his energy and
dedication to academic excellence; and
WHEREAS,
as a finalist in the Muscogee County School District Spelling Bee, James will
serve as an alternate for Muscogee County at the District VI spelling bee in
Perry, Georgia, on February 21, 2009; and
WHEREAS,
the Muscogee County community and the State of Georgia take great pride in the
accomplishments of this fine young scholar.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body join in
recognizing James Bryce Jackson, finalist in the Muscogee County School District
Spelling Bee, and extend to him their sincere best wishes for his future
academic endeavors and in every aspect of his life.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to James Bryce Jackson.
