RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Mr. Tony Bryant; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Mr. Tony Bryant has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the
vital role that he has played in his community and his expertise and
accomplishments in the field of mortgage financing; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Bryant diligently and conscientiously devotes his time, talents, and energy
to Town Square Financial in College Park, Georgia, where he serves with
distinction as branch manager; and
WHEREAS,
with over 22 years of banking experience in Georgia, Mr. Bryant has trained
numerous professionals in the mortgage and real estate industry, many of whom
now own their own mortgage and real estate companies; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Bryant worked for over 15 years as a lender and was at one time the largest
African American lender in the Southeast; and
WHEREAS,
a believer and advocate for "Saving the American Dream of Homeownership," Mr.
Bryant helps potential homeowners understand how credit scores affect the home
buying process and the health of the overall economy of this nation;
and
WHEREAS,
prior to his mortgage banking career, Mr. Bryant worked for Merrill Lynch and
Pearson-Smith stock brokerage firms; and
WHEREAS,
a community leader, Mr. Bryant volunteers his time with the Atlanta Urban League
and is a member of the Empire Board of Realists, the Black Chamber of Commerce
of Atlanta, and Rainbow PUSH Coalition; and
WHEREAS,
his significant organizational and leadership talents, his remarkable patience
and diplomacy, his keen sense of vision, and his sensitivity to the needs of the
citizens of Georgia have earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues
and associates; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the extraordinary accomplishments of
this distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
Mr. Tony Bryant for his amazing career and his many contributions to his
community and the State of Georgia.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. Tony Bryant.
