RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending the student volunteers and interns from District 35; and for
other purposes.
WHEREAS,
several student volunteers and interns came together for the success of the 2012
session of the Georgia General Assembly; and
WHEREAS,
District 35, which includes sections of unincorporated Fulton County and Douglas
County and the cities of Southwest Atlanta, College Park, Union City, East
Point, Hapeville, Palmetto, Chattahoochee Hills, and Fairburn, is a vibrant,
beautiful community that is rich in natural resources and competitive business
advantages; and
WHEREAS,
the hard work and dedication of these distinguished student volunteers and
interns have been enormous assets to the citizens of Georgia and District 35,
and all the members of the General Assembly greatly appreciate the invaluable
service of student volunteers and interns who enable their business to run
smoothly and successfully; and
WHEREAS,
the student volunteers and interns diligently and conscientiously devoted
countless hours of their time, talents, and energy to the efficient management
of District 35, and their exceptional organizational talents and skills were
instrumental; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the extraordinary accomplishments of
these distinguished Georgians be appropriately recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
the District 35 student volunteers and interns for the 2012 regular session on
their superb performance and convey their best wishes to each of them for
success and happiness in their future pursuits.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the District 35 student
volunteers and interns.
