A RESOLUTION


Commending Ms. Nicole L. Mitchell on her service as a legislative aide; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, the Honorable Robert Brown has been very fortunate to have had the exceptional service of Ms. Nicole L. Mitchell, whose work as a legislative aide has been marked by her devotion to helping citizens and her constant commitment to the highest standards of excellence; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Mitchell has provided superior support while working in the Senate Minority Leader's Office, proving herself to be mature, organized, and helpful, willing to provide any type of assistance that is needed; and

WHEREAS, originally from Minnesota, Ms. Mitchell earned an associate's degree in weather technology from Community College of the Air Force and a bachelor's degree in speech communications from the University of Minnesota and is currently pursuing a law degree from Georgia State University; and

WHEREAS, she has served as a guardian of this nation's freedom and liberty as a captain in the Air Force Reserves for the past 17 years, works as a weather officer for the Hurricane Hunters out of Biloxi, Mississippi, and has traveled to every continent on the globe; and

WHEREAS, in addition to her extensive career in the military and field of meteorology, Ms. Mitchell has worked as a student attorney in the Turner Environmental Clinic and the Georgia State Tax Clinic; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Mitchell's hard work and dedication have been enormous assets to the citizens of Georgia, and all the members of the General Assembly greatly appreciate the invaluable service of aides who enable their business to run smoothly and successfully.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body join to commend Ms. Nicole L. Mitchell on her outstanding service as a legislative aide and extend to her their best wishes for the greatest success and happiness in all her future endeavors.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Ms. Nicole L. Mitchell.
