RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Ms. Pam Morgan; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Ms. Pam Morgan has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the
vital role that she has played in the teaching profession and her deep personal
commitment to the education of the students of Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
as an art teacher at Woodstock Elementary School, Ms. Pam Morgan has been
honored with an Award of Excellence at the National Art Education Association
Conference for her service as the Georgia Youth Art Month (YAM) coordinator;
and
WHEREAS,
students from Woodstock Elementary School participated in "Art Shapes the eARTh"
as part of YAM in Georgia, and the idea of this theme was to use art to support,
acknowledge, and fundraise and raise awareness for a cause; and
WHEREAS,
her significant organizational and leadership talents, her remarkable patience
and diplomacy, her keen sense of vision, and her treatment of students as family
have earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and associates;
and
WHEREAS,
in recognition of her contributions to the students in this state, it is
abundantly fitting and proper that the extraordinary commitment and
accomplishments of this outstanding individual be appropriately
recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
Ms. Pam Morgan for her efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated public
service to the education of children and congratulate her for being honored with
an Award of Excellence.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Ms. Pam Morgan.
