Senator Jackson of the 2nd offered the following amendment:

Amend the House substitute to SB 79 by replacing line 20 with the following:

unless their terms are otherwise provided by local Act or constitutional amendment; provided, however, that after January 1, 2014, the General Assembly may by local Act provide for terms of two years.
