A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Ms. Reita Mendum on her outstanding public service; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Ms. Reita Mendum has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the vital role that she has played in leadership and her deep personal commitment to the welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and

WHEREAS, she has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of her time, talents, and energy for the past 35 years with superlative service for the Georgia General Assembly as the Director of the Page Program for the House of Representatives; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Mendum has demonstrated selfless dedication and incredible patience in organizing and coordinating numerous pages throughout the 40 day legislative session; and

WHEREAS, her experience as an educator has been most helpful in her daily duties, which include organizing students who have been given the prestigious opportunity to serve as a page for the Georgia House of Representatives, providing these pages with orientation as to the tasks they are expected to perform, and assisting pages with questions throughout the day; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Mendum's dedication and organization have enabled countless young Georgians to observe the legislative process first-hand over the past 35 years; and

WHEREAS, she has served with honor and distinction as the Georgia House of Representatives Page Program Director, and her vision and unyielding commitment have set the standard for public service; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Ms. Reita Mendum for her efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated public service to the State of Georgia; recognize the amazing work she does leading the House Page program; and extend to her their most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Ms. Reita Mendum.
