RESOLUTION
Honoring
the life and memory of Mr. Bobby Gordon Bohler; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens
with the passing of Mr. Bobby Gordon Bohler on January 23, 2009;
and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Bohler was born in Bulloch County, Georgia, a beloved son of the late C.O.
and Belle Bohler; and
WHEREAS,
this great Georgian graduated from Register High School and attended North
Georgia Technical School on a basketball scholarship; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Bohler was an active member of Garden City United Methodist Church, where he
enjoyed singing in the church choir and serving in leadership roles, such as
Trustee Chair; and
WHEREAS,
a faithful and dedicated public servant, Mr. Bohler had served in the United
States Army and had been a member of the city council of Garden City;
and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Bohler worked as a masonry contractor for over 50 years, and even after
retirement, he continued to share his skills and great craftsmanship with family
and friends and was ever the devoted Bulldog fan; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Bohler was united in love and marriage to Pat Bohler, his wife of 51 years,
and he was blessed with four beautiful daughters, Leesa, Bendy, Becky, and
Vicki, four sons-in-law, 11 beloved grandchildren, and numerous nieces and
nephews; and
WHEREAS,
all who were privileged to know this courageous, generous, and caring man join
his family in mourning his loss and cherish the memory of their wonderful times
shared with Mr. Bohler.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that this body hereby joins in honoring the life and memory of Mr. Bobby Gordon Bohler and expressing its appreciation of his many contributions to his community, friends, neighbors, and family.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that this body hereby joins in honoring the life and memory of Mr. Bobby Gordon Bohler and expressing its appreciation of his many contributions to his community, friends, neighbors, and family.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. Bohler's
family.
