RESOLUTION
Commending
the National Association of Black Social Workers on its 44th annual conference;
and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
the National Association of Black Social Workers is an organization founded
during the turbulent 1960s; and
WHEREAS,
the National Association of Black Social Workers (NABSW) conference honors civil
rights icons by reflecting on the past and working to create a brighter future;
and
WHEREAS,
the NABSW is laying a foundation for future progress for themselves and their
children by restoring the people to their traditional greatness;
and
WHEREAS,
the NABSW has community involvement and services, which are led by the Office of
Student Affairs and local Atlanta chapters; and
WHEREAS,
it is fitting that this body express its appreciation for the great advancements
made by the National Association of Black Social Workers over the past 44
years.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that members of this
body recognize the National Association of Black Social Workers for the
organization's significant role in leading social change in America and extend
congratulations on the remarkable occasion of its 44th annual
conference.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the National
Association of Black Social Workers.
