RESOLUTION
Commending
Marques Harris, Frederick Douglass High School's 2010 STAR Student; and for
other purposes.
WHEREAS,
a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most
important objective of the General Assembly; and
WHEREAS,
Marques Harris has shown by the example of his academic accomplishments that the
pursuit and attainment of scholastic success are within the reach of the
students in this state; and
WHEREAS,
this remarkable scholar has earned distinction through his superlative
achievements at Frederick Douglass High School where he was a gifted student and
was selected as Frederick Douglass High School's 2010 STAR Student;
and
WHEREAS,
he has personified the selfless dedication, mental agility, verbal adroitness,
and personal maturity necessary for superlative academic performance;
and
WHEREAS,
the State of Georgia looks with great anticipation toward the future of this
bright and promising young citizen.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body heartily commend Marques Harris for his spectacular scholastic
endeavors and express to his their most sincere best wishes for continued
academic success in the future.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Marques
Harris.
