A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending the 2008 Milton High School girl's lacrosse team on winning their fourth consecutive State Championship; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, through perseverance and iron determination, the Milton High School girl's lacrosse team earned the top ranking in the state for the fourth year in a row; and

WHEREAS, these determined athletes completed their season undefeated, as not one team in the entire State of Georgia could match their skill and ability; and

WHEREAS, the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the outstanding athletic ability, the dedication and hard work, and the unity of purpose and spirit of each member of the team; and

WHEREAS, the 2008 team is made up of stellar athletes, including four national lacrosse academic All-Americans, three national lacrosse All-Americans, eight All-State Players, 14 Scholar Athletes, and four players from the graduating class slated to play in college; and

WHEREAS, as this magnificent team earned its well-deserved reputation for excellence by performing with courage and precision over months of training and competition, it is abundantly proper to call them champions.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body congratulate the 2008 Milton High School girl's lacrosse team for winning the 2008 State Championship and extend their sincerest best wishes for future success.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit a copy of this resolution to the players and coaches of the 2008 Milton High School girl's lacrosse team.
