A RESOLUTION


Recognizing and commending Mrs. Henrietta Antoinin; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Mrs. Henrietta Antoinin has demonstrated impressive leadership skills, community involvement, and business savvy deserving of recognition; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Antoinin served as Vice President of Public Relations for Atlanta Life Financial Group, where she managed and evaluated advertising and promotion programs for compatibility with the company's public relation efforts; and

WHEREAS, during her distinguished career with Atlanta Life, Mrs. Antoinin was the only employee who had the honor of serving under six of the seven presidents in the company's history; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Antoinin has received many accolades for her professional acumen, including being named one of America's Top 100 Black Business and Professional Women by Dollars and Sense magazine, one of the 100 Most Promising Black Corporate Women in America by Ebony magazine, and a 2004 Hall of Fame for Women inductee and named one of Atlanta's 2005 Top Black Women of Influence for the Atlanta Business League; and

WHEREAS, a concerned and active member of her community, Mrs. Antoinin has also demonstrated her leadership abilities by serving as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Butler Street YMCA, Vice Chair of the Democratic Party Coordinating Committee, and Second Vice President for the Board of Directors for the Atlanta Chapter NAACP, a group which honored her with their highest honor, the Jondelle Johnson Leadership Award; and

WHEREAS, a woman of great faith and devotion, Mrs. Antoinin is a fifth generation member of Friendship Baptist Church, where she enjoys singing in the Senior Choir as a contralto soloist; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting that this body express its appreciation to Mrs. Antoinin for the great credit she reflects on her community and state.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize Mrs. Henrietta Antoinin for her outstanding leadership abilities and her many important contributions to the State of Georgia.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mrs. Henrietta Antoinin.
