A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending the 2011 legislative session administrative assistants for the House of Representatives on their exemplary service; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, each year the Georgia House of Representatives relies on staff members to ensure that the business of the body runs efficiently, smoothly, and effectively; and

WHEREAS, the temporary administrative assistants of the House of Representatives have demonstrated a commitment to ensuring the proper administration of the legislative process and to handling constituent needs with care and compassion; and

WHEREAS, the Georgia House of Representatives has been very fortunate to have had the exceptional service of temporary administrative assistants whose work is consistently marked by their devotion to helping citizens and their constant commitment to the highest standards of excellence; and

WHEREAS, members of the House of Representatives salute the temporary administrative assistants of the 2011 legislative session for their hard work and a job well done: Becky Arrington, Jacinth Bryant, Cheryl Casimir, Nicole Chappell, Kevin Clemon, Regina Grant, Jennifer Griffin, Charlotte Luke, Karen Merriam, Lynn McKenzie, Anne Parker-Dockins, Olivia Sims, Laura Turner, and Shirley Wise; and

WHEREAS, these distinguished Georgians' hard work and dedication have been enormous assets to the citizens of Georgia, and all the members of the General Assembly greatly appreciate the invaluable service of administrative assistants who enable their business to run smoothly and successfully.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend the House of Representatives temporary administrative assistants for the 2011 regular session on their superb performance.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit appropriate copies of this resolution to each of the 2011 House of Representatives temporary administrative assistants.
