A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT

To amend Article 2 of Chapter 1 of Title 42 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to the Sexual Offender Registration Review Board, so as to prohibit any sexually dangerous predator from certain activities on Halloween; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:

SECTION 1.

Article 2 of Chapter 1 of Title 42 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to the Sexual Offender Registration Review Board, is amended by adding a new Code section to read as follows:

"42-1-16.

(a) Each year on October 31 between the hours of 4 P.M. and 11 P.M., sexually dangerous predators shall not distribute candy or other Halloween treats to minors.

(b) Any sexually dangerous predator who violates this Code section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of a high and aggravated nature."

SECTION 2.

All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
