BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
To
amend an Act creating the Board of Commissioners of Bryan County, approved
March 22, 1941 (Ga. L. 1941, p. 765), as amended,
particularly by an Act approved March 30, 1971 (Ga. L. 1971,
p. 2337), so as to provide that the board shall prescribe by resolution the
time, place, and dates for its regular meetings; to provide for called meetings
and special sessions; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting
laws; and for other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
An
Act creating the Board of Commissioners of Bryan County, approved March 22,
1941 (Ga. L. 1941, p. 765), as amended, particularly by an Act
approved March 30, 1971 (Ga. L. 1971, p. 2337), is amended
by revising subsection (a) of Section 8 as follows:
"(a)
The board shall prescribe by resolution, from time to time, the time, place, and
dates of regular meetings. The board shall call meetings and special sessions
in compliance with all existing statutes and ordinances. The clerk of the board
shall record the acts and deeds of the board at all such meetings, and the
records of the board shall at all times be open and subject to inspection by the
public."
SECTION
2.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
