Summary

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Chapter 1 of Title 28 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to general provisions regarding the General Assembly, so as to provide that it shall be unlawful for any member of the General Assembly to receive compensation of any kind or anything of value, either directly or indirectly, from any political subdivision located in whole or in part in the House or Senate district which such member represents; to provide that it shall be unlawful for any political subdivision to employ or pay compensation of any kind or anything of value, either directly or indirectly, to any member of the General Assembly whose House or Senate district includes such political subdivision in whole or in part; to provide an exception; to provide for related matters; to provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
