1	House Resolution
2	A resolution honoring the 2010-2011 Cape Coral High School
3	Boys Soccer Team, winners of the Florida High School
4	Athletic Association Class 4A State Championship.

6	WHEREAS, the 2010-2011 Cape Coral High School Boys Soccer
7	Team, the Seahawks, led by Head Coach Aldo Nardiello, won the
8	Class 4A State Soccer Championship and became the first team in
9	the school's 32-year athletic history to win a state
10	championship, and
11	WHEREAS, on February 17, 2011, the Seahawks became the
12	first team in school history to advance to the state
13	championship game in any sport with a 4-0 victory over the
14	Celebration High School Storm in the state semifinals, and
15	WHEREAS, at the state championship game on February 19,
16	2011, at the University of Tampa's Pepin/Rood Stadium, the
17	Seahawks were down 2-0 going into the second half against the
18	Choctawhatchee High School Indians, and
19	WHEREAS, with commitment, determination, and hard work to
20	the end, the team evened the score, took a 3-2 lead, and never
21	looked back, finishing the championship game, and the season,
22	with an outstanding victory, and
23	WHEREAS, great skill, sportsmanship, and competitiveness
24	have been characteristics consistently demonstrated by Cape
25	Coral Seahawks teammates Daniel Santi Villamil, Kevin Hurley,
26	Ron Lind, Georges Olivier Benedict, Nico Rubio, Caio Amaral,
27	Kayck Freire, Kevin Lopera, Nathan Stone, Oscar Camacho, Nicolas
28	Camacho, Ben Feakins, Ryan Herold, Andrew Gonzalez, Juan David
29	Cano, Paolo Acosta, Jordan Taylor, Gerardo Carrizo, Arthemon
30	Lis, Vincent Brusco, Robert Bauer, and Mitchell Irvin, and
31	WHEREAS, Head Coach Nardiello dedicated his team's trophy
32	to the youth coaches, trainers, and volunteers for their
33	accomplishments in molding young soccer players into standout
34	athletes, NOW, THEREFORE,

36	Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of
37	Florida:

39	That the 2010-2011 Cape Coral High School Boys Soccer Team
40	and its coaches are recognized and congratulated for their
41	outstanding performance and accomplishments in the 2010-2011
42	soccer season, especially for winning the Florida High School
43	Athletic Association Class 4A State Championship.
44	BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be
45	presented to Head Coach Aldo Nardiello as a tangible token of
46	the sentiments expressed herein.
