2A joint resolution proposing an amendment to Section 12 of
3Article IV of the State Constitution to redesignate the
4Department of Elderly Affairs as the Department of Elder
5Affairs.

7Be It Resolved by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

9 That the following amendment to Section 12 of Article IV of
10the State Constitution is agreed to and shall be submitted to
11the electors of this state for approval or rejection at the next
12general election or at an earlier special election specifically
13authorized by law for that purpose:

ARTICLE IV

EXECUTIVE
16 SECTION 12. Department of Elder Elderly Affairs.--The
17legislature may create a Department of Elder Elderly Affairs and
18prescribe its duties. The provisions governing the
19administration of the department must comply with Section 6 of
20Article IV of the State Constitution.
21 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following statement be
22placed on the ballot:
