SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 17 |
|
RECOGNIZING JUNE 22, 2016, AS "STAFF APPRECIATION DAY" IN THE DELAWARE STATE SENATE. |
WHEREAS, the Delaware State Senate is nearing the end of another session, and once again our work has been greatly eased, and in some cases, been made possible, through the efforts of an outstanding group of staff members; and
WHEREAS, without the work of this amazing group of men and women, both per diem and full time, those of us who serve as elected members of this body would find it very difficult, to put it mildly, to do our jobs; and
WHEREAS, whether, like some staff members, they have been here for many years, or they are new to the Senate this year, almost invariably they have worked hard and gone the extra mile, putting in long hours when asked to do so with skill and dedication; and
WHEREAS, as the work of this body becomes ever more dependent upon technology and automation, the willingness to work hard and the many skills they bring to their jobs are all the more important; and
WHEREAS, the entire Senate staff has consistently gone above and beyond the call of duty in serving the needs of this body and of the citizens of Delaware;
NOW, THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the 148th General Assembly of the State of Delaware that we do hereby recognize this 22nd Day of June, 2016, as "Staff Appreciation Day" in the Delaware State Senate.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that we extend our heartfelt thanks to each and every staff member, together with our heartfelt best wishes for a safe, happy and healthy summer.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that suitable copies of this resolution be presented, with our compliments to every member of the Senate staff.
